Breakfast can be such a difficult meal yet such an important one. It is vital to start the day with a well balanced meal to provide energy and balance blood sugar levels until lunch. Variety is key so that the boredom doesn’t set in and having different options really helps particularly on days when we just need to ‘grab & go’. Of course it is always better to sit down and savour our food!

Snacks & Treats

It is better to stick to 3 meals a day rather than graze as this gives the digestive system a chance to rest and digest. Also if your meals are nutritionally balanced blood sugar levels should remain stable throughout the day avoiding the need to snack. That said there are times when we may need a snack or treat; after strenuous exercise, those odd times we haven’t had a fulfilling meal in our busy lifestyles or just having a treat with friends. All of these recipes are designed to give a healthy alternative to sugar laden traditional treats.
